Arie Kidder's passion for pastries was first sparked as a young child in her family bakeshop kitchen. Watching her grandmother at work, she realized her affinity for confectionery art and design.	Photo from Seven Days Newspaper
After finishing a degree in Management, she decided to jumpstart her pastry career by pursuing a Culinary Arts degree from the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. She then honed her skills working in some of Boston's finest restaurants, including a stint at an award-winning wedding cake shop. Upon moving back to Vermont for her husband's career, she launched her own company in 2001. After 5 successful years serving Vermont's finest, she and her family relocated to the New Hampshire Seacoast where Arie Kidder Custom Cakes has also found a new home.
