Arie Kidder's passion for pastries was first sparked as a young child in her family bakeshop kitchen. Watching her grandmother at work, she realized her affinity for confectionery art and design.

After finishing a degree in Management, she decided to jumpstart her pastry career by pursuing a Culinary Arts degree from the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. She then honed her skills working in some of Boston's finest restaurants, including a stint at an award-winning wedding cake shop.
Arie Kidder launched her own company in 2001. After 8 successful years serving Northern New England’s finest, she and her family relocated to the Pacific Northwest’s Seattle, WA area, where Arie Kidder Custom Cakes has also found a new home.
